Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Larry Silvestri is responsible for the broad range of legal representation required by The Goodman Company, including managing the company's Legal Department and directing its outside counsel. He negotiates, documents and closes acquisitions and sales of the company's properties and is actively involved in the development process. The legal aspects of project financing are also Mr. Silvestri's responsibility. He negotiates anchor tenant and chain store leases for the company as well. General corporate matters handled by Mr. Silvestri include negotiation of partnership and joint venture agreements, and advising and assisting senior management on a wide range of legal matters including contract review and negotiation, environmental law, employment law, construction law and property management issues. He has more than twenty years of hands-on experience in shopping center development. Mr. Silvestri also has experience developing and providing legal services for multi-family residential, office and industrial projects.
Prior to joining The Goodman Company in 1999, Mr. Silvestri served as Vice President and General Counsel of Zaremba Group LLC, a privately held national real estate development company, as Assistant Vice President/Director of Legal Services for First Union Real Estate Investments, a NYSE listed real estate investment trust, as Assistant Corporate Counsel of Highland Superstores, a national consumer electronics and home appliances retailer, and as an associate in the Detroit law firm of Butzel, Keidan, Simon, Meyers and Graham. Mr. Silvestri received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1984. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
