The Shops at Wiregrass, located within Wiregrass Ranch, a 5,022 acre planned, mixed-use development. The property is located at the northeast corner of State Road 56 and County Road 581 also known as Bruce B. Downs Blvd. State Road 56 is a new highway that opened in December of 2001. This important highway interchanges with Interstate 75 approximately two miles to the west of the site and extends through Wiregrass Ranch to Morris Bridge Road to the east.

The Goodman Company completed The Shops at Wiregrass in partnership with Forest City Enterprises of Cleveland, Ohio, a 800,000 sq. ft. lifestyle center, that is anchored by JC Penney, Dillards, Macy's and many other upscale tenants.

In addition to the retail development, Wiregrass Ranch will include a medical center, schools (elementary through high school), a community college, a national tennis center, golf courses, municipal offices and over 16,000 residential units.
